Animated texts on Illumination Gallery are broken down into two categories: self-contained and fragmented. In truth, though, what I had in mind was producing works along the lines of novels, short stories, or films. In essence, I produced a piece, then released it to the world via the site. What I have learned since is that websites can transcend releasing pieces by becoming sketchpads for artists to work out their visions. Thus I add this Illuminated Sketchpad section. The first 4 animated texts contained herein originally appeared in a series of blogs I wrote for Illumination Gallery. All the pieces are experiments, not quite completed, reflecting the evolution of the animated text form.
