Intro to Paul Gauguin: An Oblique/Primal Spiritual Journey

Perhaps more than any other artist, Paul Gauguin hated the art scene of his day as much as he loved creating art. He felt a profound need to leave the art scene behind in order to find himself artistically. While his lifestyle verged on hedonism, his art was deeply spiritual. But to tap into the spirit he needed to live in the moment, letting go superficial trappings.
